Diagram 3-28: Key command processing flow Article V IC card filling system security Intellectual IC card operation system --- COS 7 intellectual IC card, invented as early as 1968, has another name --- fuel dispenser smallest PC (personal computer) from very starting. IC card, according to principle of desktop, also needs a set of operating system as platform, that is, COS (Chip Operating System). From the view of its position in intellectual card, it is much more like past DOC in personal computer. COS as core of intellectual card technology, all commands from exterior should be processed in operating system. This system is developed along with integrated circuit card from EEPROM to intellectual card with microprocessor. Compared with general operating system, operating system in card has many traits: address system security; COS is not a universal operating system because it i fuel dispenser s developed by various manufacturers. Yet, different commercial COS should be designed and developed in line with a basic and general international standard so t fuel dispenser hat make sure the openness of system. Because of adopting unified interface in one factory, different chips may also provide same interface with similar functions. Safety threat and solution to IC card system The security of COS safety protection has integrated many current and matured safety technologies, its reliability lie in the following 3 items: Secrecy: adopt encryption to deal information, preventing illegal store and withdrawal data. Integrality: hinder illegal alteration of information including modification, deletion and increase, etc. Authenticity: system has ability to verify the sender and receiver of data, ensuring data valid and authentic. IC card applied system may be attacked during working. Some are by malice, others unconscious. The concrete attack methods are divided into 3 categories: Method I: Fake card, including fabricated card, changing card in operation, etc. Method II: compromised card, employing lost card or larcenous card to conduct operat

tate the CHS should continuously run a self test to establish if the device is still inoperative or if the device has been configured to allow it to operate. fuel dispenser EVENT DESCRIPTION When the CHS has been configured with the essential data to operate and no major errors are detected OPERATIVE the CHS goes to the OPERATIVE state. Action: The MT sends the unsolicited data CHS_Status. When the CHS_SetUp command is received from a controller device and the supplied password is SET-UP valid the MT moves into the SET-UP state. Otherwise the MT will NAK the message MS_ACK = 5 and NAK the command Data_ACK = 1. Action: The MT sends the unsolicited data CHS_Status. When t fuel dispenser he CHS_ServiceTest command is received from a controller device the MT moves into the SERVICE TEST manufacturer SERVICE TEST state. fuel dispenser Action: The MT sends the unsolicited data CHS_Status. MAJOR ERROR If a major error event occurs the CHS stays in the INOPERATIVE state. Action: The MT sends the unsolicited data CHS_Status and CHSEC_ErrMsg2. MINOR ERROR If a minor error event occurs the CHS stays in the INOPERATIVE state. Action: The MT sends the unsolicited data CHSEC_ErrMsg2. In case a command is sent which is not included in this event description the command will be rejected and the MT stays in the same state. Action: The MT sends a NAK - Command refused in this state . chs_100 STANDARD FORECOURT PROTOCOLJ. the new labour-market controls will turn out to be. Bulgarians and Romanians will still be allowed to visit Britain. The government cannot prevent them from working if they are self-employed. The figures for m fuel dispenser igration from the first eight countries in eastern Europe show that this could prove a significant chink in the door. Those working illegally can be fined £1,000 ($1,876); and their employers £5,000. Mr Reid has also doubled the funding to enforce compliance. Whether these sanctions will bite is open to doubt given the difficulty of policing jobs. The Transport and General Workers Union fears that “rogue employerswill favour Bulgarians and Romanians because they will offer “scared, compliant labourwithout any legal protection. Some may just declare themselves self-employed. The Bulgarian and Romanian governments are offended by the controls. Research f fuel dispenser rom the Institute for Public Policy Research, a think-tank, suggests that most Bulgarians and Romanians would in any case rather work in Mediterranean countrie fuel dispenser s where many of their compatriots are already employed. The wave of migration from eastern Europe has been good for the economy. However, the government has been rattled by growing opposition to the newcomers. One concern is that they are out-competing native unskilled workers. Another is that they are putting excessive strain on the public services. Politics has trumped economics. © 2006 . There are high hopes that new technologies for generating electricity will be able to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Less attention is paid to the transmission network that links consumers with power plan
